Breaking Barriers, Amplifying Voices: The Transformative Power of CVAP

Breaking Barriers, Amplifying Voices: The Transformative Power of CVAP

In a world that often imposes limits, the Certified Voice Artist Program (CVAP) is breaking barriers and proving that the power of voice knows no bounds. The inspiring journey of John Michael Malen, a visually impaired aspiring voice artist, is a testament to how CVAP is changing lives—one voice at a time.

A Life-Changing Opportunity

John Michael’s path to discovering CVAP began through Ma’am Gloria Antropia, who introduced him to the program. Little did he know, this encounter would ignite a journey of empowerment, growth, and newfound purpose. As a person with a disability (PWD), he had faced countless challenges, but CVAP welcomed him without limits, without labels, and without hesitation.

Thanks to the vision and generosity of Sir Pocholo De Leon Gonzales, The VoiceMaster, John Michael became a scholar of CVAP, opening doors he never imagined possible. “Sobrang blessed ako dahil may ganitong program na walang nililimitahan,” he shared. CVAP is not just about learning the art of voice acting; it is about giving opportunities to those who dare to dream, no matter their circumstances.

More Than a Training—A Community of Empowerment

What makes CVAP extraordinary is its inclusive and supportive environment. John Michael was not the only visually impaired student in the training—he was surrounded by others like him, proving that disability is not a limitation but a unique strength. The program provided him not just skills, but a family, a community that uplifts and supports one another.

From voice modulation exercises to script reading and editing assignments, every step of the journey was a learning experience. Despite challenges—especially in using technology—John Michael never gave up. With the help of his CVAP mentors and batchmates, he pushed forward. “Akala ko first week pa lang, hindi ko na alam kung matatapos ko ito,” he admitted. But through determination, guidance, and the unwavering belief of the CVAP family, he completed the program stronger and more confident than ever.

The Power of Pochology

At the heart of CVAP’s impact is the wisdom and inspiration of The VoiceMaster, Pocholo De Leon Gonzales. His philosophy, known as Pochology, has empowered thousands of aspiring voice artists to believe in their voice, embrace their potential, and use their talent to inspire and uplift others.

For John Michael, these lessons hit deep. “Siya ‘yung naging daan para maka-attend kami sa ganitong program, at siya rin ang naging inspirasyon namin,” he said. His gratitude echoes the sentiments of many who have walked through the CVAP journey—a journey of transformation, self-discovery, and purpose.
